Benefits of Membership
One of the main benefits of membership is to be recognized as supporting a strong and growing association of academics. It is the strongest such association in Canada and brings many academics from the US and elsewhere to its Annual Conference.
A membership is required in order to attend the annual conference and must be purchased before the conference registration option becomes available to you.
Yes, we realize that the 5-year membership costs $100 per year and the shorter memberships are only $50 per year. Buying a 5-year membership says you believe in the Association.
Notice to NFA 2019 Conference Participants
Dear NFA 2019 conference participants,
Due to an error in the registration system, we charged the Quebec sales tax (9.975%) instead of the British Columbia sales tax (7%) on the 2019 conference registration fee. For the early bird ($250) and the regular ($350) registration fees, the extra charge amounts to $7.44 and $10.41, respectively. We have credited the extra tax charge to your registration account which you can use toward future conference registrations. If you have questions, please feel free to contact Amy Marshall at email@example.com. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
- $50 fee for 1 year
- $150 for 3 years (convenient, as this avoids the need to keep renewing)
- $500 fee for 5 years. If purchased in 2013/2014, this comes with the opportunity to be recognized as an Inaugural Member on the Sponsors page of the web site and on the conference program.
- You can pay your membership fee by credit card, using PayPal, at portal.northernfinanceassociation.org.
