The 2023 NFA conference will be hosted at The Westin Harbour Castle in downtown Toronto close to the waterfront.
Toronto is home to a large range of upscale and budget options if you would like to book your own accommodation. If you choose to book the hotel farther away from Westin, please note that Toronto is now the fourth largest municipality in North America, so getting around can take time. Prior to booking, we encourage you to check the distance, transportation options, and transit times to the conference venue, especially during weekends when public transit service lines and hours are reduced.

Billy Bishop Airport Specific
Billy Bishop Airport is located on a small island in downtown Toronto, connected to the mainland by the ferry/pedestrian tunnel. The hotel is located within a 10 min drive from the Billy Bishop Ferry Terminal (taxis are available at the entrance to the Terminal). Note that the airport also provides a complimentary bus shuttle to Union Station. In addition, tram number 509 stops close to the hotel.
Union Station Specific
Union Station is the main rail and transportation hub for Toronto. It connects to the Toronto Transit Commission’s (TTC) subway and street cars, Go Transit’s commuter lines, and Via Rail’s intercity Canadian passenger rail service.
It is between 7 and 13 minutes from Union Station to the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel depending on your mode of transportation (e.g. taxi, street car or walking). Please see this link for walking routes and public transit options including street car numbers. If you use the public transit, please check TTC website for updates, especially on the weekend when service lines and hours are reduced.
Uber and Lyft are two popular ride-sharing services available anywhere in Toronto and are usually 20%-50% cheaper than a regular taxi. For those arriving at Pearson Airport, note that there are designated pick-up areas for shared rides. We suggest you follow the signs within the airport to the designated ride-sharing pick-up area, and only then request a ride. The apps will provide information on the specific location within the pick-up area where your driver will meet you.
